Launch, trade, burn
How it works
Launch a coin for free, with no dev wallet. Every trade pays a fee: 50% of its creator side buys the coin back and burns it, 30% buys back and burns the platform token, and 20% runs the platform.
Free, with no dev wallet
Launching a coin
Sign in (with X, Google, an email address or a wallet), give the coin a name, a ticker, an image and a description, and press Launch. Our launcher contract creates it on Pons, paired with USDG unless you choose ETH. You always pay and receive USDG here; a trade of a coin paired with ETH crosses between the two for you. You sign nothing and pay nothing to launch: we pay the Pons launch fee and the gas. Every coin opens after a countdown of 5 to 30 minutes (its creator picks; 5 minutes by default), with a launch basket anyone can join.
- One launcher
- Every coin listed here was created by the same launcher contract, in one transaction that also hands the coin's creator seat to its burner contract. Nobody can launch a coin here around it.
- No dev wallet
- Nobody gets any of the coin for free: not its creator, and not us.
- No dev buy
- Nobody behind the coin makes a buy of their own at its launch: not its creator, and not us. The only buy in the launch transaction is the public launch basket's, made for everyone in it at one price; the creator can join the basket like anyone else, with one entry.
- Nobody behind it
- The coin's creator seat belongs to its burner contract, from the launch transaction on. No person is paid as its creator, us included: its creator is nobody.
- One new coin a day
- Launch as many coins as you like. A ticker, a name, an X profile and a website can each be on one new coin a day: while a coin waits to launch and for 24 hours after it is listed, no new coin can take them; then they are free again, and at once if its launch fails. A website that is an X profile link counts as that X profile. An X post or community counts as a website does, in the X field or as the website: one post is one, whichever handle its link names.
- Signing in with X
- Any sign-in launches; X is never required. Signing in with X proves the coin's X link is your own account: that link then goes on chain with the coin (any other X account shows on this site only), and you can use your own X profile even if someone typed it first without that sign-in. A website first used without an X sign-in does not stop a launcher signed in with X either. The X field takes an @handle, an X post or an X community: a post or community link goes on chain with the coin whoever launches it, and somebody else's X profile shows on this site only.
- No copies
- A launch is refused when its ticker or name is a copy of one on a coin still waiting to launch or listed here in the last 24 hours, or of a Robinhood Chain token people trade, with or without an affix such as OFFICIAL or V2, or when its image is a copy of such a coin's image.
5 to 30 minutes, one price for everyone
The launch basket
Every coin opens with a countdown its creator picks, 5 to 30 minutes (5 minutes by default); there is no launching it at once. During the countdown, anyone signed in can join the coin's launch basket, and buy the coin together at its launch.
- One entry each
- One entry per account, of up to what the coin's creator picked ($10, $20 or $25 of USDG; $10 by default), and the total the creator picked for the whole basket ($500, $1,000 or $2,000; $500 by default). The launch form shows about how much of the coin's supply each total buys; the coin's page shows its terms and how much room is left.
- Held by a contract
- The money waits in the launch basket contract, never with us. You can take your entry back until the last 60 seconds of the countdown, whatever its length; from then until the launch every entry stays in, so nobody can empty the basket at the last moment, while joining stays open to the countdown's end. If the coin is not launched in time, or its launch is called off, everyone takes back their own entry.
- Bought at the launch
- When the countdown ends, one transaction launches the coin and buys it for the whole basket, so nobody can trade between the two. Everyone in the basket pays the same price: the tokens are shared in proportion to each entry, and any USDG the curve did not take goes back the same way. Pons tags this buy as Dev, because our launcher contract makes it in the launch transaction: it is the public launch basket, bought at one price for everyone who joined and paid out to them.
- Pairs
- Every coin has a launch basket: coins here pair with USDG or ETH only, and the basket buys in both.
Dollars in, dollars out
Trading and graduation
Every coin trades against USDG on its Pons bonding curve until the curve fills (8,090 USDG). Buying and selling here work the same before and after, in one press. Pons charges 1% on every trade, on every app that trades the coin.
The coin is a plain Pons token, so it also trades on Pons and in apps such as fomo. A trade made on this site also pays Ownerless's app fee, 0.25% of the dollar amount, on top of Pons's 1%; the trade panel shows both before you trade (“Pons 1% · app fee 0.25%”). A trade on another app pays Pons's 1% only.
Each order is simulated when it is sent and carries a minimum output; if other trades move the price past it before your order lands, the order is cancelled and nothing is spent.
- Graduation
- A full curve graduates the coin: Pons moves it to a Uniswap v4 pool whose liquidity is locked, and it keeps trading there, here as before. Its fees still reach its vault, and its burns go on (when burns happen).
Per $100 traded
Where the fee goes
Of Pons's 1%, Pons keeps 0.30% and pays 0.70%, the creator side, to the coin's vault. Of the creator side, 50% buys the coin back and burns it, 30% buys back and burns the platform token, once it is set, and 20% runs the platform.
| Of every $100 traded | Amount |
|---|---|
| Pons | $0.30 |
| Buyback of the coin, burned (50% of the creator side) | $0.35 |
| Buyback of the platform token, burned (30%) | $0.21 |
| The platform (20%) | $0.14 |
A trade made on this site pays the app fee on top, outside Pons's 1%:
| On top, of every $100 traded here | Amount |
|---|---|
| App fee, 0.25% | $0.25 |
| Of it, to the account that referred the trader, if one did (half) | $0.125 |
| Of it, to the treasury (all of it when nobody referred the trader) | $0.125 |
Each buyback is itself a trade, so it pays Pons's 1% too, part of which comes back through the vault. The burner contracts buy through this site's trade contract, so each buyback also pays the 0.25% app fee; every burner is referred by the treasury, so that fee, the referral half included, goes back to the treasury. The split is fixed in the contracts at launch; nobody can change it for a coin afterwards.
From receipts
Burns
Fees reach the coin's burner contract as USDG. The burner keeps two buckets, one for the coin and one for the platform token, and every 20 to 30 minutes spends each bucket, whole, on a buyback. Every token bought goes to 0x000000000000000000000000000000000000dEaD, where nobody can move it.
Every coin page lists its burns: when, the USDG spent on the buyback, the tokens burned and the transaction, which anyone can open on the explorer. The page also shows what is collected for its next burn and the window it comes in, and its supply counting down. Supply shown here is net of burned tokens. All burns are on one page, with the total USDG spent on buybacks.
Burns reduce the supply; they are not a promise about the price. A quiet coin pays little into its buckets, and a coin nobody trades burns nothing.
Every 20 to 30 minutes, the whole bucket
When burns happen
Nobody presses a button for a burn. A job on our server looks at every coin's two buckets every minute and burns them at each coin's moment, to the second, as the coin's keeper. The rules it follows:
- When
- Each coin burns at one moment 20 to 30 minutes after its last burn, or after its launch for its first, drawn at random: nobody can tell the moment in advance and buy just before it. Each coin's page shows the window its next burn comes in.
- How much at once
- The whole bucket: nothing caps a burn, so a coin burns everything its fees earn, however much it trades and however much the buy moves the price. A coin paired with ETH buys through the ETH pool, which takes only so much in one swap: a bigger bucket burns in a few pieces at its moment, and whatever does not fit at the next.
- When a bucket is ready
- Once it holds at least $2 of USDG. Fees reach it when the coin's vault is harvested, which every burn does first, so a bucket fills as the coin trades.
- Limits on chain
- None. The launcher contract sets no ceiling, no interval and no budget on burns: what the fees put in a coin's buckets is bought back and burned, all of it.
- After graduation
- While a curve is full and moving to its pool, nothing burns. In the pool, Pons collects the fees and sweeps them to the coin's vault from time to time; the buckets fill after each sweep.
- The platform token
- Every coin's bucket for the platform token waits in its burner until the platform token is set, then burns by the same rules, at its coin's moment.
A quiet coin burns rarely, and a coin nobody trades never burns. Every burn is on the coin's page and on all burns within about a minute, with its receipt.
Half of the app fee, for life
Referrals
Every account has a referral link and a code, its handle. Whoever signs up through your link or enters your code is yours for life, one level only, and half of the 0.25% app fee on every trade they make here is paid to you in USDG, in the trade itself. They pay the same fees as anyone. Trades they make on other apps pay no app fee, so they earn nothing. Ownerless pays for trades only, never for posts, likes or follows, and when you share your link you say that you earn from it: the posts the app writes for you end with that line. Referral rewards are not offered in the United Kingdom. The full rules are in the terms, section 5; your link and every commission are on Earn.
What protects the money
Safety
- Your keys, not ours
- Sign in and a wallet is created for you, owned by you; or connect one you already have. We never hold your keys or your money; the launch basket holds an entry in its contract, which only you can take back.
- Find the real token
- Every coin page shows the token's contract address next to the ticker. Search by it on Pons or anywhere else: names can be copied, the address cannot.
- Links from other people
- A coin's links are added by people, and we do not check where they go. A click on one opens a notice first, with the real address.
- Risk
- Memecoins are volatile and can lose all their value: you can lose what you put in. Nothing on this site is advice.
